Children of the Way!

Our ministry seeks to meet the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical needs of children while teaching them about Jesus Christ in a fun and age-appropriate manner.  We want to encourage children in their personal relationship with Jesus as Lord and Savior by cultivating spiritual growth.

Sunday Morning

Iglesia del Camino’s Children’s Ministry began in 2004 with an average of 10 children.  Praise God, we now average 70 children each week!  During both services on Sundays, at 9:00 am and 10:45 am, we provide fun, engaging activities for children, including Bible incentives for participation and verse memorization.  We teach through song, prayer and a variety of activities to extend their Biblical knowledge throughout the week.  All activities are taught in both Spanish and English.

First Steps:

Children (newborn to 2 years) are nurtured in a safe and secure environment.  Our volunteers help meet their physical and emotional needs while they are in our care.

Children (ages 3-6 years) learn Bible stories and principles of a Christian life through practical activities and storytelling.

Children (ages 7-10 years) study Biblical characters and events and teach daily life application. Our volunteers teach from the Bible and include discussion and activities, as well as Scripture memorization.

Children (ages 11-13 years) are in transition during their adolescence.  Bible classes for them are based on topics of interest to fit their age and needs.  In addition to Sunday mornings, we strengthen relationships by having fellowship together through campfires, walks, zoo visits, etc.

Wednesday Evenings at 6:30 pm:

Children (ages 4-12 years) study object lessons and discuss practical ways to live out Biblical principles in their daily lives.  We provide time to share our experiences during the week and pray for one another.

“In the Footsteps of the Master”

Jesus said, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them,
for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
