Iglesia Del Camino (IDC) is a place where you can come as you are and be loved. Whether you are just beginning a relationship with Jesus Christ or have had a growing relationship with Jesus for many years, Iglesia Del Camino is the place to start or continue that relationship. We have a comfortable and informal atmosphere. We present Biblical and practical tools for living life effectively. As well we offer opportunities to meet people and develop intimate friendships that may last a lifetime through our small groups.
IDC is a church that attempts to simplify life, guiding people to the path of Jesus Christ as they attempt to find their way in this world. Regardless of where you are in life or what path you are on, we welcome you.
We offer childcare in a secure facility staffed by loving, caring individuals. We offer childcare for ages: infants up to 11 years.
Purpose of theIDC – “Loving God … Loving People”
The purpose of Iglesia Del Camino is to live out the two greatest commandments of all time to fulfill the mission that Christ gave us before He ascended back to heaven.
A religious expert of the day posed this question to Jesus, “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?” Jesus replied, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.” – Matthew 22:37-39
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matthew 28:19-20
Our Mission at Iglesia Del Camino (for what do we exist?)
As Christians we are disciples and followers of Christ. Thus, our mission must be no different than the mission of our Leader. Jesus said, “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.” – Luke 19:10
The mission of Iglesia Del Camino is to seek out the lost so that they will experience the saving grace and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. This mission will be accomplished as we live out our purpose.
The religious rulers of the day asked Jesus’ disciples: “Why does He eat with the tax collectors and sinners?” On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” – Mark 2:16-17
What we believe…In essential beliefs – we have unity.
“There is one Body and one Spirit.. there is one lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of us all.” – Ephesians 4:4-6
In non-essential beliefs – we have liberty.
“Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters .. Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. So then each of us will give an account of himself to God… So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God” – Romans 14:4,12,22
In all our beliefs – we show charity.
“…If I hold in my mind not only all human knowledge but also the very secrets of God, and if I have the faith that can move mountains – but have no love, I amount to nothing at all.” – 1 Corinthians 13:2
